As an experimental format the Performing Encounters evenings create both intimate and public scenarios for the exchange and development of ideas which lie at the intersection between art and science. This long term project, which was awarded a research stipend by the city of Berlin in 2015, focusses on playful forms of (art) criticism as an area of research.
Performing Encounters took place at Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin, at KW, Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin, at Haus am Lützowplatz, Berlin, at Grimmuseum Berlin, at Kreuzberg Pavillon, Berlin, at District, Berlin and at Goetheinstitut Krakau. Participating artists were Jonas Lund, Sebastian Schmieg, turbopascal, YKON, machina EX, Berenice Güttler, Birte Bosse, Sebastian Körbs, Nikolaus Baumgarten, c-lab, Rüdiger Trojok, Sophia Schomberg, Achim Wagner, Tobias Sjöberg, unMonastery, Chloé Delarue, Jessica Pooch, Nina Haab, Reg Carremans , Reto Pulfer , Ralf Baecker and Jennifer Lyn Morone.
